The city extends for 23 kilometers along the eastern shores of the Straits of Messina and it climbs along the slopes of the Aspromonte range up to 1708 m at Monte Basilicò.

Reggio, the most populated urban area of Calabria, lies on the southern most tip of the peninsular, between the slopes of the Aspromonte range and eastern shore of the Straits of Messina.

It is a fertile area thanks to its mild climate and the availability of water, in which olives, vines and citrus fruits are grown and in particular bergamot, a plant which grows exclusively in the coastal area between Reggio and Gioiosa Jonica.

Often destroyed  by earthquakes but always able to rise from the ruins , building an image projected to the future without forgetting the past.

A fascinating city whose architecture, art and environment make it one of the most interesting locations in the south.
